The Queen Kaahumanu Center in Kahului is home to popular brands like American Eagle Outfitters, Wet Seal, and Pacific Sunwear. You’ll also find jewelry from Maui Divers and Na Hoku, as well as the ever-popular See’s Candies. The Lahaina Cannery Mall is smaller and caters a bit more to visitors. Both malls have a food court. Shoppers who want to splurge while they’re on the island should head to the Shops at Wailea. Here, art galleries and fashion are joined by luxury brands such as Tiffany, Gucci, Coach, and Louis Vuitton. Stick around for live music every Wednesday evening.

Old Town Lahaina, with lots of jewelry, souvenirs, and surf gear, is a fun place to stroll and shop. One store of note: Vintage European Posters, where every surface is covered with original posters dating from 1890 to 1960. Ads for Chanel, war bonds, and cognac hang alongside a movie poster featuring Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret, calling to mind a time when print was king.

The upcountry towns of Paia and Makawao are fun for shoppers, too. There are the usual gorgeous pieces of art featuring island scenes, but you’ll also find swimwear, beads, hemp products, toys, glassware, and clothing. Stop at Anuhea Flowers in Makawao where you can send long lasting protea flowers home via FedEx.

If you want to take something truly Hawaiian home with you, head to the funky town of Wailuku and visit Mele Ukulele. The small shop sells instruments made right on the island, along with strings and other accessories. The music will keep your vacation alive long after you’ve gone home!

With 11 locations on Maui, ABC Stores are an easy place to pick up souvenirs, food and drink, t-shirts, and beach necessities like sunscreen and sunglasses.
