Most people love the big shopping malls in Munich: they often offer free parking, a roof over your head and lots of shops and restaurants for spending a nice time -at any weather. There are two big ones in Munich.

The Riem Arcaden


With its 120 stores the Riem Arcaden is one of the most popular shopping centers in Munich. It offers a large range of modern fashion stores as well as gastronomic highlights, a huge selection ensures a relaxing walk around the shops.


The complex is divided into different branches and categories, located on three different floors. Fashionable boutiques for him and her, trendy shoe shops, kids clothing stores, bookstores, jewelers, or perfumeries... the variety is huge. A variety of service providers can also be found in the Riem Arkarden: banks, hairdressers, drycleaners, travel centers as well as supermarkets. Culinary hightlights not only from Bavaria, but from all over the world can be found in the food court, a perfect place for taking a lunch or coffee break on a busy shopping day.

Take U2 or U7 to the station Messestadt-West

Take bus routes 38, 91, 263 or 264. 

The Olympic Shopping Center


The OEZ (Olympia Einkaufszentrum) was built for the Olympic Games in 1972 and is the biggest shopping mall in Bavaria. The OEZ presents itself on two light-flooded levels as a multi-faces shopping landscape. A total of 135 trendy shops, as well as many coffee shops and restaurants are located under the enormous glass domes. Over the decades, the OEZ has been expanded and modernized. Today, it is often referred to as the “innovate world of shopping”, and is one of Munich’s main attractions.
