Vancouver offers shopping from high end boutiques to huge markets 


From the high end boutiques and brand name labels of Robson Street to the huge Richmond Night Market and the eclectic Granville Island Market and many different shopping malls Metro Vancouver is home to British Columbia's best shopping.


Metro Vancouver is home to many shopping malls – the biggest being Metrotown with over 450 stores. Others include the Pacific Centre, the Aberdeen Centre and Richmond Centre. More market based shopping experiences include the night markets in Richmond and Chinatown which see over 25,000 visitors a night, Granville Island and Lonsdale Quay. East Vancouver and Gastown have unique shops selling one-of-a-kind items.


Souvenir shopping can be done at a number of places – one of the main areas being Gastown which has stores like the Steam Clock T-Shirt & Souvenirs Ltd or Oh Yes, Vancouver!


If you are an outdoor lover – and British Columbia is an outdoor lover’s paradise – Vancouver has some of the best prices on the best outdoor gear anywhere in the world. From the world famous Arteryx gear to the Mountain Equipment Coop - MEC - there is something for every outdoor enthusiast in every price range. Most of these shops are concentrated on Broadway Ave in Vancouver.


In the more rural area of Metro Vancouver and scattered through the city centres are dozens of farmers markets and roadside stands, and several craft centres specialising in Canadian souvenirs.
