Los Angeles has it all to stay and play. But unless you like spending time in traffic, best to book a hotel near an area that interests you. Do you want a beach, shopping or culture centric holiday?

Malibu, Santa Monica & Venice Beach

Just because you’re at the beach doesn’t mean you have to bum it. There are endless hotel options in Malibu, Santa Monica and Venice Beach where you can have stunning ocean views in five-star luxury. If you want a pampered stay but want to experience some of the more funky sides of Los Angeles beach culture, plenty of boutique or bed and breakfast stays are available too, especially in Venice Beach.

    Beverly Hills & West Hollywood

East of the beach cities are the sophisticated Beverly Hills hotels that put you in the heart of the Rodeo Drive shopping district. Many of the luxury collection hotels like Four Seasons, Dorchester Collection and Thompson are located here. Iconic, historic hotels like the pink Beverly Hills Hotel or the recently remodeled Bel-Air Hotel are also great options. Adjacent to Beverly Hills is the glamorous, swinging nightlife of West Hollywood. In West Hollywood, both luxury and boutique stays with incredible restaurants within are available to suit your style and taste.

    Mid-Los Angeles

With unique boutique shops and some of LA’s best restaurants located around 3rd Street and Beverly Blvd, hotels that cater to hipsters and tastemakers are found in this area. Boutique hotel stays, like SLS Hotel or Orlando Hotel, start at around $200 a night in this area.

    Downtown

If you prefer a metropolitan city experience, chalk full of culture and diverse ethnicity, a stay in vibrant Downtown Los Angeles might be the best fit. There are plenty of hotels within walking distance of MOCA, Walt Disney Hall and Geffen Contemporary. Downtown LA also has many of the more familiar high-end chain hotels to choose from, like Starwood Hotels and Ritz Carlton. For an uber-trendy stay, the Standard Downtown is always buzzing with beautiful people.
